In a universe where good battles evil on a daily basis, there exists a villain so horrifying that it takes a superhero team-up of epic proportions to confront him. The Batman Who Laughs (BWL) is the newest big bad to hit the DCU, and he’s terrorizing everyone he encounters. In Batman/Superman, DC’s new monthly title finds the duo tracking down the six heroes turned into BWL’s psychotic horsemen. These corrupted heroes, known as the Secret Six, include the likes of Shazam!, Hawkman, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Donna Troy, & Jim Gordon. The reality of having to take down some of their closest friends and allies will test the relationship between Bruce and Clark like never before. Can they trust each other? Can they save their fellow heroes from the grasp of the BWL?
Written by Joshua Williamson, with a main cover drawn by David Marquez and a main variant cover by Leinil Yu, Batman/Superman is a must read for fans of the Caped Crusader and the Dark Knight. If you’re in it for the artwork, there will be retailer variant covers featuring the artwork of Warren Louw, Ben Oliver, Clayton Crain, Greg Horn, John Giang, Kaare Andrews, Ryan Kincaid, Rodolfo Migliari, Lucio Parrillo, & Francesco Mattina.

Alone at the top…
After the release of record-breaking Spawn #301, Todd McFarlane’s most famous creation stands alone as the longest-running creator owned comic in comic book history. If you’ve been on this journey following the exploits of Mr. Al Simmons since 1992, or jumped onto the hell-wagon later on, you’ll be bursting at the seams to get your hands on this instant classic. I never thought that I’d still be reading this title 27 years after picking up the iconic first issue. Spawn #301 is a testament to the talents and contributions of everyone involved in bringing us this beloved hero. First as the cornerstone of the creator-founded Image Comics, and now as their most veteran torch bearer, Spawn is as exciting as ever.
This 48-page ‘Giant’ features McFarlane returning to pencil and ink the interior pages. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to see the original master at the helm of his creation. Greg Capullo, Jason Shawn Alexander, Clayton Crain, Jerome Opeña, & Francesco Mattina join in to celebrate this ground-breaking achievement. As with Issue #300, there will be at least 18 retailer variants to collect and choose from.
You’ll be able to track all of the variant covers here, as always.
After 25 years, Dave Sim’s ‘Cerebus the Aardvark’ will have to make some room on the mountain top as the longest-running independent series in comic book history. Spawn #300 finally drops after 27 years of build-up and anticipation, and Todd McFarlane’s most famous creation doesn’t show signs of slowing down. With an upcoming movie in the works, and no word from McFarlane himself that he has any plans of retiring this long-running title, Spawn continues to amaze and delight.
Spawn #300 (a 72-page deluxe) will continue the story arc from the previous issue, featuring new villain ‘The Rapture’. Written by McFarlane and Scott Snyder, who is one of the most celebrated Spawn writers of all-time, this will surely be a fantastic read. There are already 18 announced covers featuring artwork from McFarlane, Greg Capullo, Jason Shawn Alexander, and others. If you’re a Spawn collector, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
As usual, keep your browser tuned here to see all of the announced and upcoming variant covers!
