House of X and Powers of X (Ten) are two parts of a major Marvel Universe crossover event leading up to the Dawn of X relaunch. In House of X, we’re introduced to a new version of Charles Xavier’s dream alongside Magneto, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Wolverine. In Powers of X, we’re told the story of the entirety of Mutant history, all the way through to the future.
The titles will release on an alternating basis, sharing a series of pivotal events that take place over the course of a month. At the conclusion of House of X and Powers of X, we’re going to have to reevaluate how we understood all of the classic X-Men tales. These rotating mini-series are sure to create massive ripples for all of mutant kind.
Once the events of House of X and Powers of X (Ten) come to their dramatic conclusions, the story of the X-Men will be turned on its head, changing all we know about the Marvel Mutant Universe. In X-Men #1, the story of the most famous mutant superhero team in comics will be taken in a direction not yet seen.
This new era of X-men, led by Cyclops, consists of a roster almost exclusively made up of family members of Scott Summers, spanning multiple eras and alternate realities. This new team will include Jean Grey, Young Cable, Rachel, Alex Summers, Gabriel, Corsair, and fan favorite Wolverine as the only non-relative in the group.
House of X & Power of X writer, Jonathan Hickman, will continue the story begun in the intertwining mini-series. X-Men #1 will have a main cover drawn by Leinil Yu, with a main variant cover by Artgerm.
