Synopsis Gannish continues on his quest to find proof that there are beings older than the First. At Enson's prodding, Seahn kills Laia, a fellow Secundae. Persha feels it is time for her to meet Pyrem, but her mother, Ingra, has forbidden her to use the bridge across the Eidolon Rift. Wyture suggests to Persha that there may be another way to cross the rift. Ingra meets with Minister Ilahn before having Rhorf accompany him back to Cadador. Yala tells Pyrem and Trenin of her meeting with Gannish and Persha.
